The TAC design was created by architect Walter Gropius, leading Bahaus figure and proponent of the International Style. He took inspiration from the ancient form of the Chinese teacup, and reinvisioned its functionality and clean lines to create an entire tea service for Rosenthal, which has gone on to be considered a masterpiece of design. TACo2 builds on this original design, with the assistance of designer Louis McMillen, Gropius’ early plans to create a full dinner service are realized.
