UNICEF works in over 150 countries and territories to promote and protect the rights of children. UNICEF works in five priority areas for children (Survival, Education, HIV/AIDS, Protection & Emergencies), as well as rapidly responding to emergencies and conflicts.
UNICEF Australia raises funds for UNICEF programs in developing countries and carries out a range of activities to help ensure that the rights of children and young people in Australia are being met.
UNICEF is unique among children’s aid organisations as it has the global authority to influence and produce change in local policy and attitudes, for the good of children and their communities. Through contact with UNICEF, the lives of millions of children have been saved or changed for the better. But the challenge is ongoing - millions of children still need help.
* Important notice re tax receipts:
100% of guest donations we collect will go to the selected charity, but it costs us time (and credit card fees) to collect the funds and pass them on. So, to minimise our administration costs, we make a lump sum deposit of guest donations to each of our charities every three months, and do not obtain individual receipts for each guest donor.
However, if you really need a donation receipt from the charity for tax deductions, please notify us by telephone within 24 hours of making your purchase, and we will make a separate donation to the charity in your name, and give you a receipt. Alternatively, if you wish to make a large donation, you might prefer to give to UNICEF directly, by clicking here: UNICEF direct donation
