The Rug Collection has designed its cutting edge; innovative range of rugs with a strong emphasis on fashionable colours, stylish designs and textures.
The Julu Wajaar Range has been created in conjuntion with the Seeger Gallery, and the Aboriginal artists they represent. The name 'Julu Wajaar' means 'One Earth' in the Gumbayniggir language, and it is around this theme that the artists have worked to create their designs.
Artist Vincent Forrester grew up in Central Australia and creates works to pass on his Luritja and Aranda heritage to his children and grandchildren. Kata Juta is traditionally a sacred men's site, so Forrester cannot share the story represented in this piece, as this knowledge is only available to initiated men of the area.
