<>The name Koonara comes from the name the Reschke family property in Australia's most famous wine region, Coonawarra, which produces low yield, high quality wines, under the capable watch of head winemaker Peter Douglas (ex Wynns). Because only a small number of cases of each vintage are made, and they are only available through selected outlets, Koonara wines are a rare treat.
Ezra is the angel who encourages writers, and helps people open doors to their ability and self expression.
The Ezra's Gift Shiraz Viognier 2003 was picked at 2.5 tonnes per acre, and aged 18 months in French oak barrels. It features blackberry and spice flavours, with an intense pepper and fresh mulberry and dried apricot nose.
Winner of:
- Silver Medal, Melbourne Wine Show
- Bronze Medal, Limestone Coast Wine Show
- Bronze Medal, Cool Climate Wine Awards
Winemaker's Notes: Perfumed white pepper and violets on the nose, with big, long blackcurrant sweet flavours. Very silky tannins. One of only 2 Shiraz Viognier's in Coonawarra.
