For 250 years, the Riedel family has been creating high quality crystal and
glassware. More than 30 years ago, Claus Riedel discovered that design elements
such as the shape and size of the bowl, and diameter of the rim, would affect
the bouquet and flavour of the wine, and set about creating specific glasses for
each wine variety.
The Sommeliers range was hailed as the world's first 'gourmet glassware' and
remains one of the most successful ranges of hand blown glasses to this day. The
