Since 1921, Italian company Alessi has been known for its innovative and creative designs. It attracts some of the world’s foremost architects and designers to create its distinctive range of products for the home.

La Stanza dello Scirocco was inspired by the sultry winds that whip across southern Italy from the Sahara. Designer Mario Trimarchi describes it as 'a collection of geometrically irregular items made up of small splinters of various sizes, interlaced in an unstable balance'.

This fruit holder is finished with coloured epoxy resin, a polished stainless steel version is available separately on the website.
