While we had some reservations about using an online registry, our fears were allayed by the incredible service we were provided by The Melbourne Wedding Registry. All our questions were answered quickly, there were never any problems with the website and there was a huge range of products for us to select from. Our guests also had no trouble using the website and any guests who were not internet savvy walked into the lovely store in Armadale and received the best service and help in selecting the items that they wanted from our list.

Unlike most delivery companies, MWR gave us a time a week in advance that they would deliver all our gifts and even sent us a reminder the day before! Everything was delivered to us on time, with such ease and no inconvenience to us at all. In keeping with their green theme, they even took back our empty boxes so that we didn't have to throw them out! All in all, we could not recommend MWR more highly. With so many things to do and plan before our wedding, it was so nice to have the confidence and comfort that our registry was one thing that we didn't have to worry about.

We wanted to make things as easy as possible for our guests and that meant being able to purchase online, and also being able to see what they were choosing for us. Some of our friends' weddings had registries where all we could get online was a list (no pictures or descriptions) and we had to telephone to purchase! The Melbourne Wedding Registry doesn't feel impersonal and knowing the product specifics means that guests are able to put some real thought in to what they buy.

Living in Melbourne and getting married in Tasmania meant there were logistics to consider with respect to getting our gifts back home – so it was even more important to have a registry that guests felt comfortable using as we could not get many things back! The showroom was beautiful and was very useful in helping us decide on gifts that we really wanted. Our personal consultant was extremely friendly and helpful and her excellent product knowledge and suggestions made our decisions very easy (and fun).

There was great customer service from the first consultation right through to delivery. One thing that really set this registry apart is that our guests could do everything online, including purchasing without having to leave home - can you get any more hassle-free?  

We didn't realise how difficult finding a quality wedding registry that's reasonably priced, easily accessible and web-based would be. With guests travelling from interstate and overseas, other registries were just inappropriate. Luckily we stumbled upon The Melbourne Wedding Registry. Using and dealing with the Melbourne Wedding Registry was one of the easiest and most enjoyable parts of our whole wedding organisation. As we both work 6 day weeks we wanted something that was going to be quick and easy to organise and that is exactly what we got.

Our initial appointment was held at their very impressive showroom in Armadale and we simply selected all our gifts from there. We were then able to do the rest at our leisure by simply adding or deleting items over the internet. I wasn't always a fan of wedding registries as I wasn't sure that they offered enough items that were interesting and special enough, but when Jon and I saw the products on offer from The Melbourne Wedding Registry we were blown away! With such gorgeous, unique items it went well beyond the toasters and casserole dishes usually on offer. The brands are outstanding too, so we knew everything was of the highest standard.

The ability to split expensive items up was a real bonus and saved embarrassing phone calls to relatives hinting that they should put in for certain gifts! With one family based in the USA we knew we needed a wedding registry that was easy to use, provided great service, and enabled online ordering and payment. Otherwise we were going to be stuck with dozens of gifts in the USA that we would then have to ship back to Australia!
