The Olde Thompson company was founded in 1944 by American WWII veteran, George S. Thompson, who had returned from military duty in Europe, and noticed that pepper mills, which he had seen widely used across Europe, were not freely available in America.  George Thompson introduced the concept of freshly ground pepper to the US and Olde Thompson is now the largest manufacturer of salt and pepper mills in the world.

This stylish pepper mill can be found in fine restaurants around the world.  With its warm walnut finish and traditional shape, it is a timeless classic.
