Vornado is America's leading supplier of air comfort products, such as
heaters, air purifiers and humidifiers. Perhaps their most innovative product is
the Vornadofan, a unique, superquiet air circulator, which is as useful in
winter as it is in summer.
The Vornadofan creates a vortex motion of air within a room. In summer, this
gentle, constant breeze helps to remove heat from the body, without actually
reducing the temperature of the air, like a standard fan. But unlike a fan,
everyone in the room feels cooler, not just the person directly in front of the
fan. It also works well in conjunction with airconditioning systems, circulating
the cooler air throughout a space.
In winter, the Vornadofan can be switched to low speed and directed at the
ceiling, to evenly circulate the warm air coming out of a heater around the
whole room. This is particularly handy in rooms using a radiant heat source
(e.g. open fire, combustion heater), which tend to concentrate heat around the
heater itself and leave the rest of the room cold.
