Womb Chair & Ottoman

In 1948, Florence Knoll challenged Finnish-born architect and designer Eero Saarinen to create a chair that she could curl up in. The result: The Womb Chair.

Its enveloping form continues to be one of the most recognized representations of mid-century Scandinavian organic modernism. It was also a favourite of Hugh Heffner, and appeared in the Playboy US magazine in the 1950s.

This unauthorised replica of the original Womb Chair is created to the specifications of the original and features foam moulded over a solid one-piece inner fiberglass core. The entire chair is covered in a pure wool fabric with additional seat cushions and back cushions. The Ottoman is also covered in pure wool, with an additional cushion to ensure supreme comfort. The legs on the chair and ottoman are stainless steel.

Dimensions of chair: 100W x 86D x 92H cm (Chair) ,
Dimensions of ottoman: 66W x 53D x 50H cm (Ottoman)
